Applications open for $500 grants. Qualifications and application are below.

Grant Recipient Qualifications

​

  • Master’s Degree in mental health, social work, psychology, MFT or related field 

  • Employed in the mental health field in the US.

  • Have experienced a recent (within the past 90 days) and substantial disaster or emergency. We define an eligible emergency/disaster as an event or circumstance that is unforeseeable, unexpected, outside your control and has a recent and substantially disruptive effect on the applicant’s practice/livelihood.

  • Applicants impacted by Hurricane Helene will be allowed an extended application period through Feb. 28, 2025.

Qualifying Events

​

  • Disaster events: Fires, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and other acts of nature. 

  • Emergency events: Being the victim of a crime, accidents, injuries, and major illness (lasting over 2 weeks).

The examples cited above are not exhaustive but represent the most commonly supported scenarios by the program. Emergencies vary based on an individual’s circumstances. Some sort of documentation of the emergency or disaster must be included in your application. This may include insurance claims, medical documentation, police reports, etc.  If you have questions about what documentation would be appropriate, please reach out.

 

Activities such as routine or ordinary medical care or procedures, car maintenance and repairs, unemployment or slow business or recurring/ongoing circumstances are not eligible for this program. If you are unsure if your situation qualifies, please email us at therapistresourcenetwork@gmail.com.

Free Therapist Support Circles

Therapists hold a lot. This circle is where you don’t have to. Gather online with peers to process the work and the world, share openly, and leave feeling more grounded and less alone. No consultation or supervision — just connection, reflection, and practices to help you reset and restore. Come as you are. Leave a little lighter.
