The crisis hiding in plain sight
America's mental health care professionals are in crisis. Demand for services has skyrocketed — caseloads have exploded in the wake of COVID-19, encompassing suicide, eating disorders, substance abuse, grief, gender identity, and racial trauma — while the resources to support clinicians have not kept pace.

Therapists are leaving the profession at a rate not seen before, citing burnout and profound financial stress, at precisely the moment they are needed most.

Licensed therapists have long been underpaid, their work undervalued in a system that has historically favored physical healthcare. Compared to similarly educated and trained physical health professionals, mental health clinicians earn nearly 35% less. With surging caseloads, that imbalance is simply unsustainable.

TRN exists because when therapists can't sustain themselves, the ripple reaches every client who depends on them.

Jeanine Rousso
LCMHC, LMHC, LPC, ACS, RPT-S
Throughout her 20 years in mental health, Jeanine witnessed a growing gap between what clinicians give and what they receive — especially during personal emergencies and burnout. She founded TRN to fill that gap in a system that too often leaves therapists without a safety net.

Zandra Baker
LPC, NCC
With 15 years across schools, hospitals, clinics, and community centers, Zandra recognized that just as clients are shaped by their lived experiences, clinicians are too — especially through secondary trauma. She partnered with Jeanine to build TRN as a bridge between the care therapists deserve and the care they actually receive.

Dr. Naiylah Warren
DCFT, LMFT
A clinical content creator and strategist with over a decade in digital mental health, corporate wellness, and clinical consulting. Dr. Warren specializes in evidence-based, culturally responsive mental health programs that bridge care, culture, and technology — while maintaining a private practice supporting individuals and couples.

Andrea Shochet

Andrea brings over 20 years of business experience, including 5+ years growing mental health EHR platforms and building partnerships with private practice consultants and major associations. After working directly with hundreds of therapists, she is eager to apply her expertise in partnerships, community building, and ecosystem growth to advance TRN’s mission.
